Cheryl Ann Beeson Obituary (1948 - 2019)

Cheryl Ann Beeson, 71 of Pana passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at Pana Community Hospital. She was born January 5, 1948 in Shelbyville to the late Donald C. & Alice L. (Hopkins) Fisher. Cheryl lived most of her live in the Pana, Tower Hill area. She began her career in a nursing home by working in the kitchen preparing meals and later went on to earn her certificate as a CNA. When she wasn't caring for others, she enjoyed reading and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Cheryl is survived by her children: Chris (Tony) Durbin of Taylorville, Rick Torbeck of Pana, Shannon Gatton of Taylorville; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; special friend Leroy Burke of Shelbyville; and siblings Randy Fisher and Janet (David) Douglas both of Pana. She was preceded by her parents; son Randy Joe Pastor; grandsons Robert and Anthony Hoover; and brother Donald L. Fisher. Funeral Services for Cheryl will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Derrick Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials in Cheryl's honor may be made to the choice of the donor and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
