Clonie I. Durbin Obituary (1911 - 2009)

Clonie I. Durbin, 98, of Ohlman died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in Nokomis Rehabilitation Nursing Center. She was born February 26, 1911 in Shelby County, Illinois, the daughter of Levie E. Sarah Brown Bland. Clonie was the last of a family of eight. A homemaker, she lived most of her life in Christian and Montgomery Counties. She attended church in Rosamond, IL. Clonie loved her family and especially loved to rock her grandchildren and sing to them. She enjoyed sewing, going to yard sales, and cooking. She will be sadly missed. Clonie married Theadore J. Durbin in 1928 and they had 13 children. She is survived by 7 of those children: Joseph Durbin wife Imogene, Kasbeer, IL; Daniel Durbin wife Mary, Zearing, IL; Noah Durbin, Ohlman, IL; JoAnn Morgason, Ohlman, IL; Rosemary Pryor husband Dennis, Mulberry Grove, IL; Brenda Brown, Greenville, IL; and Nora Henderson husband Ed, St. Petersburg, FL. Clonie also had several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1976; 6 children: Donald Durbin, Francis Davis, Walter Durbin, Nancy Durbin, Theadore Durbin and James Durbin. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Saturday, May 2, 2009 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Ralph Barker and Randy West officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee, IL. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
