Dee Knearem Obituary (1935 - 2016)

Dee Knearem, 81, of Pana, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon. She was born August 4, 1935 in Pana, daughter of the late Wilbert & Catherine Huffmaster Hall. Dee was a graduate of Pana High School. She moved to Arcola in 1963, where she had worked in dietary as a cook for the Arcola school system, coming back to Pana in 1993. She enjoyed crocheting and being around all children and people. She especially loved spending time with her family, children, grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. Dee married Don Knearem and he preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by her sons: Dale Knearem & wife Nancy, Hindsboro, IL and Dennis Knearem, Tomball, TX; 2 grandchildren: John Knearem, Arcola, IL & Jacqui Harwood, Charleston, IL; brother: Kent Hall, Aurora, CO; and sisters: Barbara Pat Christopher, Jacksonville, IL & Ethel Marie Penny Durbin, Pana, IL. She was also preceded by a son, Dirk Ray Knearem on October 17, 2004; brother, Virgil Hall, Sr. & sister, Cindy Julius. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Friday, October 21, 2016 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Altman officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
