Dr. Jimmy Michael Klee Obituary (1947 - 2011)

Dr. Jimmy Michael Klee, 63, of Pana, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in his Petersburg home. He was born April 6, 1947 on Easter Sunday in Pana, the son of Wayne H. "Dub" Agnes E. "Aggie" Onderko Klee. Dr. Klee graduated from Pana High School and attended Eastern Illinois University. He graduated from dental school at the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1971. He then went on to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Dr. Klee lived in Pana his entire life, and was confirmed at St. John's United Church of Christ in Pana. He began his dental practice in Pana in October 1977. Dr. Klee loved gardening, reading, painting, drawing, and chopping wood. He also enjoyed walking in Kitchell Park with his dog, the outdoors, and nature. Dr. Klee married Martha "Marty" Drake. He then married Marilyn Jeanne Gash on August 1, 1998 in the Episcopal Church, Lincoln, IL. He is survived by his wife: Marilyn Klee, Pana, IL; children: Kevin Wayne Klee, Pana, IL Erin Jenny Klee, Springfield, IL; sister: Diane Moore, Pana, IL; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews; and by his dog: Ronnie Lee. He was preceded in death by his mother on July 3, 2001, father on January 2, 2005, and brother-in-law, Donald Moore. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. John T. Vidakovich Rev. Lawrence Gibson officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home. As per Dr. Klee's wishes, cremation rites will follow.
