Earl W. Barding Obituary (1935 - 2007)

Earl W. Barding, 72, of Rosamond died Saturday, November 24, 2007 in his residence. He was born June 6, 1935 in Louisville, IL, son of Glen Stella Beeson Barding. Earl had lived in Taylorville and moved to Rosamond as a young man. He served in the U. S. Navy. Earl retired from National Greenhouse in Pana after 34 years and also retired from the railroad. He had painted water towers for Chicago Bridge Iron and farmed. He was a member of Pana Elks and Christian County Farm Bureau. He loved going to auctions and tractor shows. His outdoor hobbies were trap shooting, hunting, fishing boating and mushroom hunting. Earl married Mary Jane Eilers on January 6, 1961. She died January 25, 1999. He is survived by his four daughters: Alisa M. Salsi husband Steve L., Rosamond, IL; Anita M. Jones, Pana, IL; Amy J. Christian husband Kevin L., Rosamond, IL; April D. Sneddon husband James, Nokomis, IL; seven grandchildren: Jessica M. Jones, Elizabeth A. Schneider, Tyler L. Christian, Arthur E. Salsi, Brent E. Christian, Dallas Sneddon, Emma Sneddon; one great grandchild: Madison Saunders; and one sister: Glenna Passoni husband Reno, Taylorville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughter, Brittany N. Christian; and two brothers: Marian "Red" Barding and Ronnie Barding. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Hibbett officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond with graveside military rites by VFW/AmVets. American Legion Honor Guard, Pana.
