Edna M. Jeffrey Obituary (1922 - 2008)

Edna M. Jeffrey, 85, of Pana, died Thursday, January 10, 2008 in Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana. She was born July 9, 1922 in Tower Hill, the daughter of Olin Victor Minnie Angeline Patterson Barringer. Edna graduated from Witt High School and the Pana Hospital School of Nursing. She lived most of her life in Tower Hill, Witt, and Pana areas. Edna was a retired nurse, and worked in Pana Community Hospital and Hines Veterans Hospital. She also operated a family business, Jeffrey Flowers in Pana. Edna enjoyed gardening and helping others. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pana and Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary. She married Dan Jeffrey on September 10, 1946 in Pana. Edna is survived by her husband: Dan Jeffrey, Pana, IL; son: Dennis Jeffrey wife Anna, Taylorville, IL; 1 grandson: Adam Jeffrey wife Jean Ann, Taylorville, IL; 5 great grandchildren: Gabriel, Addison, Grace, Aidan, Ayanna; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Lloyd Barringer Harold Barringer; sisters: Bessie Campbell Nellie Martincic. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Monday, January 14, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Russell officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
