Hilda M. Kinsey Obituary (1914 - 2017)

Hilda M. Kinsey, 102, of Pana, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Pana Community Hospital. She was born July 26, 1914 in Edinburg, IL, daughter of the late Rudolph C. & Pearl McCart Ivenmeyer. Hilda was raised in Edinburg and then lived most of her adult life in Pana. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pana, where she taught Sunday school and was very active for many years. She loved her family and her church. She had worked at Normans Dry Cleaner, Rons Restaurant, & Redmans Coffee Shop. Hilda Ivenmeyer and Kenneth M. Kinsey were married on November 27, 1943 in Pana. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1995. She is survived by her daughter: Maxine Gordon, Pana, IL; 5 grandchildren: Roberta Merrifield & husband John, Oconee, IL; Karen Root, Nokomis, IL; Kenny Gordon & wife Cheryl, Pana, IL; James Gordon, Pana, IL; Jeff Gordon, Pana, IL; 4 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandchild. She was also preceded by 1 child in infancy and 1 great granddaughter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pana at 12:00 p .m. with Rev. Terrence E. OBrien officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
