Joseph G. Hornbeck Obituary (1936 - 2009)

Joseph G. Hornbeck, 73, of Pana died Sunday, October 4, 2009 in Heritage Manor-Pana. He was born February 28, 1936 in Bloomington, IL, the son of Melvin Flora Caughell Hornbeck. He has lived in Indiana and Vandalia prior to coming to Pana many years ago. He has served in the U. S. Army. Joe was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Pana. He married Ruth A. Cade on December 31, 1964 in Ramsey, IL. Joe is survived by his wife Ruth Hornbeck, Pana, IL; daughter: Diane Stigleman husband John, Springfield, IL; grandchildren: Matthew McClain and Ryan McClain; step grandson: Erich Stigleman; and by his sisters: Margie Badger, Leroy, IL; Geneva Schwanbach, Evansville, IN; and Bonnie Masters, Georgetown, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother John Hornbeck and sisters: Clara Wright, Sara Kinder and Mary Servey. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in First Church of the Nazarene, Pana at 12:00 noon with Rev. Allen Ebbler officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Ramsey. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until noon at the First Church of the Nazarene.
