Katie E. Carnahan Obituary (1991 - 2019)

Katie E. Carnahan, 28, of Pana passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019. She was born August 5, 1991 in Effingham, daughter of Paul Carnahan & Tay (Griffith) Anderson. Katie was a graduate of Pana High School and attended college to become an ultrasound tech. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing & animals. She loved bright colors. Katie is survived by her fiance, Michael Allsop, Pana, IL; daughter, Serenity Allsop at home, who was her pride & joy; step son, Jace Allsop; mother, Tay Anderson, Pana, IL; father, Paul Carnahan, Taylorville, IL; grandparents: Ron & Rose Griffith, Tower Hill, IL; siblings: Mandy Beard (significant other, Michael Forbes), Pana, IL; Sarah (Paul) Brown, Ramsey, IL; Lilly Anderson, Colorado; Amber (Matt) Stevens, Lakewood, IL; Amanda Carnahan, Taylorville, IL and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, 2 great nephews & cousins. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Eiler Cemetery, Tower Hill. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home. Memorials in Katie's honor may be made to her daughter, Serenity Allsop and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
