Keith C. Meachum Obituary (1956 - 2013)

Keith C. Meachum, 57, of Pana, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 in North Church Nursing Rehab, Jacksonville, IL. He was born May 14, 1956 in Pana, the son of Keith C. Mary Jane Inman Meachum. Keith was a graduate of Pana High School, Class of 1974. He then graduated from Bailey Technical School, now ITT Tech, as a certified mechanic. He was in the Air National Guard and was deployed several times to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Thailand. He had lived his entire life in Pana. Keith had worked for Bob Ridings as a mechanic until he went full time with the Air National Guard 183rd Fighter Wing in Springfield, where he worked as a mechanic for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and was on several teams. Keith was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pana; and a charter member board member of the Pana chapter of Quail Unlimited, now Quail Forever. He is survived by his son: Ryan Meachum wife Rachael, Pana, IL; granddaughter: Adillee Rayne Meachum; mother: Mary "Janie" Meachum, Pana, IL; brothers: Brian Meachum wife Alice, Ramsey, IL and Kevin Meachum wife Donna, Decatur, IL; and sister: Jean Wenger husband Larry, Saginaw, MI; and many nieces, nephews, aunts uncles. He was preceded by his father on November 22, 1999; son, Shawn P. Meachum; grandson, Clayven Rayne Meachum on June 16, 2011; sister, Janet Meachum Beyers. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
