Lilly May Mitchell Obituary (1937 - 2016)

Lilly May Mitchell, 78, of Pana, formerly of Toledo, IL, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Heritage Health-Pana. She was born April 10, 1937 in Fayette County, IL, to the late Cleo Eunice (Grames) Hubbert. A homemaker, Lilly May was a member of the Mullen Baptist Church, Montrose, IL and she enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and crocheting. Lilly May Hubbert and Leo Wayne Mitchell were married on August 18, 1958. He preceded her on February 7, 2003. She is survived by her children: Shawn Buck, Ramsey, IL; Henry (Wanda) Mitchell, Pana, IL; Julie (Alan) Weaver, Blue Mound, IL; and Paula (Kenny) Riley, Herrick, IL; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother: Clinton "Butch" Hubbert; sisters: Mary (Gerald) Neal, Irene (Phil) Sinkler, Genevia Hubbert, Phyllis (Chris) Eskew. She was also preceded by her son, Rodney Mitchell on October 16, 2014; daughter, Cynthia Mitchell in infancy; sisters: Ruthie Karnes Betty Hubbert. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Mullen Baptist Church, Montrose, IL at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Cosat officiating. Burial will be in Mullen Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
