Raymond Eugene Morell Obituary (1938 - 2020)

Raymond Eugene Morell, 82, of Ramsey passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 in Pana Community Hospital. He was born April 15, 1938 in Patoka, IL son of the late John W. & Sina Francis (Murphy) Morell. Raymond married Donna Eller on June 1, 1958 in Oak Valley United Pentecostal Church and they had been married for 62 years and she survives in Ramsey. Raymond had worked at the box factory in Joliet and for National Greenhouse in Pana for 33 years. He was a member of the Oak Valley United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, going to stock cars & wheelin' & dealin' cars. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren. Along with his wife, Raymond is survived by his children: Barbara Koski, Ramsey, IL; Kelvin (Carla) Morell, Ramsey, IL; Kenneth (Janeen) Morell, Herrick, IL; Lisa (John) Mathis, Ramsey, IL; Geneva (Randy) Green, Ramsey, IL; 18 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and brother, Roy (Alice) Morell, Ramsey, IL. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, David Koski; brothers: Ralph Morell, Edmund Morell, Charles Morell, John Mack Morell, Willie Morell, Teddy Morell and sisters: Ruth Brown, Virginia Pierce, Martha Hicks & Meda Morell. Funeral services for Raymond will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Oak Valley United Pentecostal Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Morell & Rev. Nathaniel Mathis officiating. Burial will be in Casey Cemetery, rural Ramsey. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Memorials in Raymond's honor may be made to Oak Valley United Pentecostal Church or the family and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
