Ruby M. (Elvers) Buck Obituary (1939 - 2014)

Ruby M. (Elvers) Buck, 74, of Taylorville, formerly of California, died Monday, August 18, 2014 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. She was born November 3, 1939 in Pana, the daughter of Richard Rachel (Lape) Elvers, deceased. She had lived in California for over 40 years, moving back to the Pana area this year. Ruby had worked for the FDA, for Alameda County, California, as well as for the Eldorado National Forest. She was a member of the Foothills United Methodist Church in Rescue, California, where she served as the treasurer. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Ruby Elvers married Hugh Buck on September 21, 1968 in Pana. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother:Stanley Elvers wife Nina, Pana, IL; nephews: Dale Elvers Gary Elvers, both of Pana, IL; niece: Susan Busby husband Matthew, Monticello, IL; and 2 great nieces 1 great nephew. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating. Burial will be Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. the Foothills United Methodist Church, Rescue, California.
