Ryan John Ellis Obituary (1980 - 2020)

Ryan John Ellis, 39, of Edwardsville, IL passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 in his home. He was born September 15, 1980 in Springfield, IL, son of Stephen Patrick Ellis & Charlene (Corso) Klein. Ryan was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan and he enjoyed being with his family & friends. He was a wonderful father to his 3 children and loved his dog Barkly. Ryan was adored by his nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Edwardsville and worked as a Union Laborer. Ryan is survived by his mother and step father, Charlene & Terry Klein, Pana, IL; his 3 children, Avery Ellis, Eli Ellis, & Emery Ellis; brother, Stephen Ellis, Jr.; sister, Shanel (Scott) Snyders; nephews, Clayton, Dylan, & Parker; nieces, Regan & Paige; step siblings, Kyle (Erin) Klein, Amy (Tom) Funneman & Andrea Wafford. He was preceded in death by his father Stephen Ellis, Sr., brother Jason Patrick Ellis, and his grandparents. A private family service will be held with Rev. Rodney Schwartz officiating and inurnment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Memorials in Ryan's honor may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
